This book genuinely broke my brain. I think about and reference it constantly and I read it 3 years ago!!! Whenever anyone I know in my life expresses a desire to have a kid, I ask them why, cuz I’m always so curious if it falls into any of these reasons (it often does, explicitly or implicitly): wanting to heal from my own trauma, wanted to be able to create something that I can build myself etc these aren’t bad reasons; they make a ton of sense. I’m not judging. In fact, I still don’t know if I want a kid or not!
