Need help cleaning your oven? Give this a try! I use the blue can of Easy Off. It will work for an electric and a gas oven. remove the racks and spray a generous amount of easy-off into the oven. Let it sit for about one hour. Place the racks on a large towel and spray them with easy off. The oven should be cold to the touch when using easy off, so do not turn the oven on. Once the time is up, use SOS or Brillo pads to scrub the oven. Use water and paper towels to wipe the buildup away. Scrub the racks with SOS pads and rinse them with water. If you have stubborn food spill marks that will not come off, use a heavy-duty scouring stick. Wet the surface, and then start scrubbing. Wipe the oven again when you are done using the scouring stick. Now your oven is nice and clean, but how can you keep it this way? Use oven liners. Oven liners catch everything. When they get dirty, you can wash them with soap and water or stick them in the dishwasher. These oven liners are nonstick, non-toxic, heat resistant, and reusable. If your electric oven has a visible heating element, the oven liner goes directly under the element. The liner should not touch the walls. The liner was a bit too big for my oven, so I did have to trim it, but these are meant to be trimmed to fit your oven perfectly. Grab some scissors and cut them to the size you need. If you have an electric oven with a hidden element or a gas oven, do not put the liner on the bottom of the oven. The liner goes on the bottom rack. I'm a professional house cleaner, and here are three things many people do wrong when it comes to their cleaning. 1-Not reading the instructions on the cleaning products, especially disinfecting a surface. If you want to disinfect, you cannot spray the product and instantly start wiping. It has to sit on the surface for an appropriate amount of time. 2- Do not use toilet bowl cleaner anywhere but your toilet. Do not clean your grout, bathtub, or sink with it. It will damage and strip those surfaces, and the damage is irreversible. 3—You have to clean the things that clean for you, like your washing machine. If you don't, it will not work correctly, and your clothes will not smell good. At least once a month, use a washing machine cleaner that you can buy from the store.
