That’s because it is. My method is comprehensive. Unlike many people in this space who promote one “miracle” method, the body isn’t that simple—and when you hear that, you’re being sold to because simplicity is easier to market. I combine different modalities because it is what truly works. And even though the approach is comprehensive, in my app True Face, I’ve condensed everything down into easy-to-follow, guided routines (almost always 10 minutes or less). The Silent Scream A nervous system regulation technique rooted in fascia decompression, vagus nerve activation, and emotional release through non-verbal expression. Most people suppress emotional intensity, anger, grief, fear, frustration and it gets stored in the fascial web, especially around the jaw, throat, neck, and chest. Over time, this creates: • Forward head posture • Jaw clenching or TMJ • Throat tightness • Shallow breathing • Chronic sympathetic overdrive This practice does the opposite: It activates the parasympathetic response, decompresses the deep front fascial line, improves vagus nerve tone, and allows stored tension to move through the body without needing words. How to do it: 1. Clench your fist and place it under your chin with steady pressure. 2. Open your mouth as wide as possible, stretch the jaw and throat. 3. Keep your eyes engaged. Let your face express intensity. 4. Inhale through your nose (4 seconds), exhale through your mouth (6 seconds). No sound. 5. Repeat for 6 full breaths. 6. Feel your feet rooted in the ground and transfer the energy you create through the entire body  7. Observe what arises. Shaking, yawning, tears, or heat are signs of release. Start with 3 breath and work yourself up to 6-9 :) This is somatic healing through the tissue, not the mind. You can’t think your way out of stored survival energy, you have to move it. Sun protection isn’t just about slathering on SPF. My “layers” of sun protection consist of both internal and external strategies that I use to keep my skin healthy without avoiding the sun altogether. 🌟 And no, I’m not saying you can’t enjoy summer or get a little glow. My skin has tanned a bit this season (even though, yes, dermatology/skin orgs still deem any tan as a degree of skin damage), but I’ve been layering in measures to help mitigate the risks and support my skin’s resilience. Astaxanthin is one of my favorites. I start taking it several weeks before summer as an internal antioxidant. It builds up in your system and not only protects at a cellular level but gives a subtle golden glow thanks to carotenoids. Replying to @liv.deer.hands Upward massage along the neck follows the natural tissue lines and anatomical structures to free up tension so that your body can perform lymph drainage more effectively. When we do lymph drainage, we aren’t even really massaging like we would for attention release massage. We are working on the skin surface to create more space of the lymph nodes can do their job more properly. Then when we do gua sha, we can use the tool both up and down the neck. I like to start going up the neck with the tool to reduce tension, and then go down to follow the drainage pathways.

When the body can exist in a more supple, fluid state (and the tissues aren’t stuck in bracing patterns) sleep and rest become much more restorative.  Studies have even found that facial massage before bed can significantly improve sleep quality by shifting the body into a parasympathetic state.
