Warga Kampung Gumelar, Kecamatan Palabuhanratu, Kabupaten Sukabumi, geram terhadap seorang warga bernama Aang. Ia adalah suami dari Santi dan ayah dari Nurul, korban bencana banjir bandang Cipalabuhanratu. Kemarahan warga dipicu oleh sikap Aang yang telah berbohong dan bahkan acuh terkait keberadaan istri dan anaknya. Kepada warga Aang menyebut anak dan istrinya selamat dari terjangan banjir dan telah mengungsi, ternyata kemudian istri dan anaknya tersebut ditemukan oleh tim SAR dalam keadaan meninggal akibat terbawa arus. Diketahui, tim SAR gabungan menemukan Santi dan Nurul dalam posisi berpelukan, pada Jumat (7/3/2025) sekitar pukul 13.30 WIB, keduanya ditemukan tertimbun di antara puing-puing bangunan dan tumpukan sampah yang terbawa derasnya arus Sungai Cipalabuhan yang meluap. Sejumlah warga melampiaskan emosinya dengan meneriakkan cacian saat Aang tiba di lokasi evakuasi. Bahkan, dalam sebuah video berdurasi 34 detik yang beredar di grup pesan singkat, Aang sempat menyampaikan bahwa istri dan anaknya selamat. "Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh saya atas nama haji Aang dari suami neng Santi yang di kampung Gumelar yang dinyatakan terbawa arus, istri saya dan anak saya teryata anak dan istri saya ada di wilayah Cikakak Desa Margalaksana, kampung Ciganas alhamdulillah selamat, ternyata yang di infokan itu tidak sesuai dengan kenyataan Alhamdulillah selamat wassalamualaikum," isi video tersebut yang diduga dibuat pagi hari sebelum jenazah ditemukan. Warga semakin geram setelah Tim SAR menemukan jasad Santi dan Nurul, memastikan bahwa mereka adalah korban amukan Sungai Cipalabuan.
