Hamburger buns: 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet) 1 cup warm water 3 tbsp sugar 3 tbsp butter 1 1/2 tsp salt 3 cups of flour 1 egg + another for the egg wash Optional sesame seeds for on top the buns Bloom your yeast in the warm water and sugar Add butter, salt, and egg. Add flour in 1/2 cup at a time. Dough should clean the sides of your bowl and not be overly sticky. Knead until dough passes windowpane test. Shape into a ball and put into a greased bowl. Let the dough rise until it doubles in size (~1-2 hours) Cut into 8 equal pieces and shape into balls. Shape and press down on buns to flatten them out slightly. Let the dough rise again for another 30-45 minutes. Egg wash and top with sesame seeds if desired. Bake at 375F 15-20 minutes. Enjoy! #homemadebread #bread #hamburgerbuns #Recipe #breadrecipe
