This 1984 Sony Trinitron KV-2670R worked great for just a few moments after I got it home. It initially experienced vertical collapse, but a few weeks later it would no longer produce a picture or sound even though it was getting power. I recently repaired this 1979 JVC HR-6700U VCR. Besides being dirty and having a few scratches, it looked to be in pretty good shape. However, there was a lot of trouble under the cover. I really should have made a video for the repairs on this one because it was very involved. An entire corner was snapped off one of the circuit boards causing there to be no sound during playback. That same board had several components that had to be replaced and traces that had to be repaired. The video looked awful due to the track mechanism being misaligned. It was really one problem after another, but I was determined to get it working again.
