I rarely buy flowers. Not out of disinterest, but because I’ve found the process strangely fraught: equal parts aesthetic pursuit and emotional gamble. In Berlin, there are two shops I visit from time to time. Both offer a decent selection, though I’ve never been taken by their premade arrangements. Instead, I gravitate toward assembling my own, guided less by floristry rules, more by intuition and whatever mood follows me in that day. Still, nothing I’ve encountered here comes close to the complexity of September Studio. Their bouquets feel less like arrangements, more like compositions: Layered, unexpected and deeply considered. Part of why I don’t bring flowers home more often might stem from the quiet sting of disappointment that follows a poorly chosen bouquet. A good bouquet can be a mirror; a bad one, a quiet embarrassment. I’ve always managed to put together something I liked. But that lingering uncertainty, of shop, of choice, persists. With that being said a September Studio in Berlin would be amazing. Florist: @september___studio #floraldesign #interiordesign #interiordetails

·4-26A lamp made from paper bags. In his ongoing exploration of consumer culture and surface design, Seoul-based Gyuhan Lee transforms everyday packaging into objects of light. This piece reworks a paper shopping bag into sculpture, where the logo, once a marker of brand identity, is softened into pattern, almost unrecognisable. The result is more textile than advertisement. The work draws on Hanji, a traditional Korean paper, which lends a tactility at odds with the mass-produced object the bag once was. By rethinking the material, Lee raises broader questions about authorship, production and value. What is the role of the designer, the craftsman, the consumer? Something that particularly sparked my interest was his work for the 70 Years of an Icon: The Horsebit Loafer exhibition by Gucci at @spaziomaiocchi. Again, he translated the modern design variations of the Gucci spellout logo as well as the GG monogram into patterns. @gyuhan_lee

·3-13Sharing the most striking finds from my feed this week. First up, the floral arrangements by Sydney-based florist September Studio. Their work goes far beyond your average flower shop. Next, a dining table by Josef Seiler from the 1920s, with a clever mechanism that expands the circular top from 120 to 170 cm. Lastly, a Korean listening coffee shop, high-end audio systems are showing up more and more in design-forward spaces lately. ·2022-11-13Today, I am visiting Historische Bauelemente, a prime location for antique furniture and all sorts of antique architectural elements like columns, grand overmantels for fireplaces, and everything in between. When I say "everything," I really mean everything, because the selection is incredibly diverse. In one corner of the estate, you might find an old GDR podium, and across from that, cast-iron mansion fences from the Gründerzeit era. This place can be incredibly valuable when you're looking for that one special piece for your store or apartment, something you likely haven't seen anywhere else. It's also a great resource for restoration projects, thanks to its extensive inventory of architectural hardware that went out of production decades ago. ·5-7advertisement / I was invited by @Bang & Olufsen to take part in their Atelier experience. For my Beolab 28, I chose a bronze aluminium base, walnut wood panels, and a dark grey textile. It's inspiring to see brands like B&O making bespoke design more accessible. #bangolufsenatelier

·4-20Last weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting Yasin Müjdeci, founder of @voostore. We discussed his decision to design the store himself without the help of interior designers, the significance of positive signals when launching a business and he shared his favorite item in his catalogue, which took me by surprise. @yesyasin Moss installation by @studiolilo_ #interiordesign #interiordetails
