One thing I will never understand is how some people put so much energy into bringing others down or suppressing the efforts and achievements of others. Is it a scarcity mentality? A belief that if others thrive, you fail? That if others win, you lose? What a shame. Personal experiences and observations of this led me into tech education, advocacy, and mentoring. Because you can’t call yourself a success if everyone around you is failing. Those who sabotage others will eventually find themselves stuck, empty, and bitter. Many you help will not be grateful. But ungrateful spirits are not your teachers. They are not your values. Refusing to help others or tearing them down doesn’t make you stronger. It makes you weaker. Because you will harvest what you plant. Give back where and how you can. Weak people diminish others. You don’t have to do that to build yourself up. That’s not you.
