The base was renamed Fort Liberty in an effort to remove the names of C*nfederate leaders — like Bragg — from American military bases. The base will now be called Fort Roland L. Bragg, after a World War II Silver Star and Purple Heart recipient. The North Carolina base was originally named in 1918 for Gen. Braxton Bragg, a C*nfederate general who owned sl*ves.

·4-21#MorningJoe’s Mika Brzezinski fact-checked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s latest claim that “left-wing reporters” obtained his second Signal chat, clarifying that Hegseth himself used his personal phone to send some military details to at least two group text chats on the Signal messaging app, according to three U.S. officials with direct knowledge of the exchanges told NBC News. The panel points out that conservatives and military leaders are among those condemning Hegseth’s actions—not just the left—calling the leak dangerous and indefensible. #news #washington #politics

·3-25A raccoon was caught holding a meth pipe during a traffic stop in Springfield Township, Ohio, footage from police shows. An officer conducted a traffic stop because the car's registered owner had an active warrant and suspended driver's license, according to the Springfield Township Police Department. After the stop, "things took an unusual turn," police said, when a "pet" raccoon named Chewy was seen with a meth pipe in its mouth. The discovery led police to inspect the car further and find a bulk amount of methamphetamine, crack cocaine and three used glass meth pipes, authorities said. The driver faces multiple charges, including possession of drugs, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and citation for driving under suspension. Chewy was unharmed, police said, and authorities are looking to determine whether the driver had proper documentation to own the raccoon. #raccoon #ohio #springfieldtownship
